Un vrai bijou.
Une finition impeccable, des surfaces brossées que j'aime particulièrement, des surfaces polies qui se mélangent parfaitement avec les autres états de surface, un cadran brun de toute beauté, une étanchéité jusqu'à 200 m, un verre saphir et un cadran avec une vraie luminosité. Le bracelet est particulièrement facile à ajuster, les barettes des maillons se dévissent facilement et tous les outils nécessaires sont fournis.
J'ai choisis un mouvement NH38 de Seiko parsque celui-ci correspondant parfaitement à ce que j'en attend, une fiabilité et une longévité reconnues.
Une pochette de cuir protège encore la montre dans d'éventuels futures transports.
J'apprécie particulièrement les finitions des montres Baltany, des ajustements mécaniques parfaitement maîtrisés et une esthétique harmonieuse le tout pour un prix amplement justifié.

I ordered the tropical dial Explorer tribute with the Selita SW200 movement so it would be more authentically "Swiss" The Selita has a much smoother and more solid winding feedback than the Seiko mechanism. I hope Baltany will offer this custom option on all their pieces. The package got stuck in US Customs for 3 weeks, but that's not Baltany's fault.

Overall this watch is amazing. Rest assured this Explorer tribute is a vastly better watch than Edmund Hillary, James Bond or old Jacques Cousteau could have aspired to in the 1950's. The whole point of the Explorer is to be the ultimate functional tool watch that lets you crawl crawl through a steaming jungle or climb over an Arctic ice flow with confidence. That purpose is defeated when the watch costs as much as a car.

I will have no problem taking my Baltany Explorer on the most extreme wilderness trip, and I won't worry about scratching it. The original Explorers weren't movie star watches. They were designed for a guy with a serious task to complete.

Also the tropical dial is a feature you can't get on a new Rolex. It was originally a defect caused by the black dials fading to brown in strong sunlight. Rolex changed their paint formulation, so the only tropical dial Rolexes now are the original 1950's models- assuming you want to drop 30k on a beat up old watch with a worn out bracelet.

The finish is truly outstanding with a mirror polish on the case sides and bezel, and a beautiful satin brushed finish on the bracelet and lugs. You can't find a sharp edge anywhere on this watch, and the bracelet is polished to a point where you can't feel it on your wrist. The dial is more of a bronze tone than the vintage chocolate brown of the old Explorers. You hardly notice it indoors, but under direct sunlight the dial just pops, and the off white lume also perfectly complements the vintage theme.

Baltany has really upped their game with this watch, and for the price it can't be beat.

Amazing service and an incredible watch! I had a custom dial made to make it personal, and the quality is chef's kiss. The markers are perfectly aligned, and the clarity of the dial is amazing! even clearer than the original Rolex Explorer. Highly recommended

I just took delivery of my new Baltany Exp tribute watch (reference S4035AB). Wow, thanks for the super-speedy delivery! This is an absolutely stunning watch, and it is easily one of the most handsome watches I've ever purchased at *any* price point. I love the beautiful matte black dial, the slim case shape and perfect dimensions, the true 'no-date' caliber NH38 movement, and the generously sized bracelet that has enough links for us guys with +7.5" wrists. I 100% enthusiastically recommend this watch!!
