Once Glorious Classic 1926 Vintage Oyster Watch and Baltany Homage

There is no doubt that the Rolex Oyster case is one of the most important inventions in the history of the watch. 

Almost every watch manufacturer and countless models now utilize the design pioneered by the Rolex Oyster case, incorporating some of the fundamental DNA of the oyster into their own watch designs,

But there is no homage to 1926 vintage Oyster automatic square watch on the market, and the Baltany watches team has become the first.

An extremely important invention in the history of watches - the Oyster case

In the original Oyster case, the movement was not actually attached directly to the case, due to the technical constraints of machining, but rather to a threaded metal ring tube. 

The crown, stem and threaded tube were secured to a tight position, and then the separate bezel and back cover was screwed on from the top and bottom to create a completely sealed unit, thus making the case water and dust resistant.

The first Oyster Watch is a Testament to the History

The first Oyster case watch was born in 1926 - the first rolex oyster perpetual,The distinctive square case was inspired by the Art Deco of the time, and this square case design seems to have gradually evolved into the classic cushion-shaped case during the collaboration between Panerai and Rolex.

The bezel is a screw-in construction, designed as a jagged encircling spiral groove, which was a functional consideration at the time to allow for better grip when tightening the bezel.

The appearance of this bezel gave the watch a richer design expression, inspiring many of the later watch designs, the richer bezel patterns we see today, the "dog tooth ring ", "coin ring", and "beveled ring".

The 1926 Oyster is not only a watch that witnesses history, but also a watch that opens up the future.
