Baltany Affordable Retro NH34 GMT Automatic Watch S6073AB

I received my Baltany Retro NH34 GMT Automatic Watch (S6073) today. It's an outstanding piece and joins a couple of other Baltany watches in my collection. I chose the sand coloured dial version and it's simply stunning - a beautiful creamy, latte colour that shimmers in certain lighting. The overall quality of the watch is fantastic including the fine brushing and polished surfaces on the case and bracelet; and of course, being Baltany, the crystal is a highlight. It is so clear and has some magical edge distortions at some angles. The dial printing is crisp, as is the bezel engraving; and it's worth noting the attention to detail with the bezel, which has a lovely radial brushing. The packaging is the usual high standard with a slide out drawer on the box and the retro satchel that houses the watch. The supplied tools are perfect for adjusting the bracelet. I must also mention that the customer service was outstanding throughout. Very fast shipping that is easy to track at each stage. What more can I say. Baltany are fast becoming one of my favourite micro-brands.

1 s/d performance! For me this is the perfect all rounder to keep on my wrist, and I do keep it there. I do 2 water sports, surfing and outrigger canoe paddling. For the latter I went to the world champs in Hawaii last year, this didn't leave my wrist and kept time to 2 seconds per day. But it keeps getting more accurate the longer I wear it. The GMT function is also useful as I travel for work and sport. I was after a watch that is a little understated to match my lighter complexion and this watch is pure class that adds to my style perfectly. I'd perhaps make a subtle change to the dial but that is being pedantic. While I mostly wear this on a nato strap the bracelet is very good and I'll use it for the rare occasions I wear a suit. I use different colour straps to match what I wear. The lume is 8/10, good enough that I can tell the time when I wake in the night. I have another Baltany watch on my wish list but it will have to compete for wrist time with this one.
